HADDONFIELD, N.J. -- As the morning sun washed across Lantern Lane, the town's Hadrosaurus foulkii sculpture looked out on the crowds gathering for the annual Fall Festival (larger photo). The day also featured a ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of the installation of the bronze figure. Many in the crowd noted that it seemed as if the dinosaur had already been there for as long as they could remember (larger photo).

On hand to lead the mid-day anniversary ceremony were sculptor John Giannotti, Haddonfield Mayor Tish Colombi and Jan Twitchell, co-chair of the HATCH Committee that organized the sculpture project (larger photo). A special birthday cake included a large image of Hadrosaurus executed in blue icing (larger photo).

With John Giannotti clapping his hands high in the air, Mayor Tish Colombi, surrounded by crowds of children, leads a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday Haddie" (larger photo). The mayor cut the first slice of two cakes that were sectioned up and distributed to a crowd that was as hungry for treats as it was enthusiastic for dinosaurs (larger photo).
